Supreme Judicial Court encourages participation in
American Bar Association's
Pro Bono Survey

The Maine Supreme Judicial Court encourages Maine attorneys to participate in the ABA Pro Bono Survey. The ABA's questionnaire marks the first nationwide effort to obtain specific data regarding pro bono services rendered by attorneys. We believe that the hours of pro bono services rendered by Maine's attorneys will compare favorably with other states, but we cannot know for certain without significant participation by Maine attorneys in the survey. We express our gratitude in advance to the attorneys who will invest the time and effort necessary to complete this rather comprehensive survey tool.

Hon. Andrew M. Mead
Associate Justice, Maine Supreme Judicial Court
Chair, Maine Justice Action Group

Clerk's note: Further information about the survey will be sent to all attorneys via email from the Board of Overseers of the Bar.
