ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER JB-10-2 (A. 4-15)

Administrative Order JB-10-2 (A. 4-15) Appointment And Authority Of Acting Clerk Of The Supreme Judicial Court (PDF)

         This order amends JB-10-2, signed and effective on December 2010.  This amended order is issued to identify the Deputy Clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court, the Lead Law Clerk to the Supreme Judicial Court, and the Lead Law Clerk to the Chief Justice as the Judicial Branch employees authorized to act as the Executive Clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court when the Executive Clerk is unavailable in the Office of the Clerk.

         Until further notice, it is hereby Ordered that, whenever the Executive Clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court is unavailable in the Office of the Clerk, the Deputy Clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court, the Lead Law Clerk to the Supreme Judicial Court, and the Lead Law Clerk to the Chief Justice shall each have the authority to undertake any actions that the Clerk is authorized to undertake by law, rule, or Supreme Judicial Court policy, and may sign, as Acting Clerk, any document that the Clerk is authorized to sign.

         A copy of this Order will be placed on file with the Executive Clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court.
