Advisory Committee on the Rules of Unified Criminal Procedure
The Advisory Committee on the Rules of Unified Criminal Procedure was established in 1967. It is the duty of the Committee to carry on a continuing review of the operation and effectiveness of criminal procedure in Maine and to recommend to the Supreme Judicial Court from time to time such amendments to the Maine Rules of Criminal Procedure and the Maine District Court Criminal Rules, and such other appropriate action, as the Committee finds advisable.
Members are appointed for three-year terms and no more than three consecutive terms.
