Virginia Parker et al. v. Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife

On November 30, 2022, the Superior Court (Kennebec County, Cashman, J.) dismissed the complaint of Virginia and Joel Parker against Judy Camuso, the Commissioner of the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, seeking a declaratory judgment that the ban on Sunday hunting, 12 M.R.S. § 11205, is in violation of Article I, section 25 of the Maine Constitution, popularly known as the "Right to Food" amendment, and an injunction prohibiting the enforcement of the ban.
